If you only have one day at Round Top, spend it at Marburger Farm.

That isn't just our opinion. It's what designers, collectors, and seasoned Round Top shoppers have been saying for nearly three decades. Marburger Farm is the show within the show. The grand finale. The one venue at Round Top that somehow manages to feel like a world-class antiques fair and a really great party at the same time.

Spread across 43 acres of Texas farmland, The Marburger brings together hundreds of dealers from across the country and around the world, all converging on a handful of massive tents and ten beautifully restored historic buildings. The range is staggering. Vintage Americana sitting next to French antiques. Mid-century modern lighting beside hand-forged estate jewelry. Art Deco furniture across the aisle from Asian collectibles and antique European rugs.

It's called a show for a reason. And once you've been, you'll understand why people plan entire trips around heading to Marburger Farm.

"There's something for everyone at Marburger Farm."

— Architectural Digest

How It All Started

Marburger Farm was founded in 1997 by two treasure hunters who wanted to share their finds with the world. What started as a passion project on a stretch of farmland between Austin and Houston has grown into one of the most respected antiques shows on the planet. And here's the part that tells you everything about this place: one of those original founders can still be found in his original booth in Tent A, nearly thirty years later.

That kind of continuity doesn't happen by accident. It happens because Marburger Farm has always valued quality, authenticity, and the kind of dealer-to-shopper relationships that keep people coming back season after season. The show has attracted everyone from top interior designers and retail buyers to celebrities and magazine editors over the course of more than fifty shows. Gwen Stefani has shopped here. Design editors fly in from New York. And somewhere in the history of this place, someone discovered what's believed to be George Washington's writing desk.

That's the kind of thing that only happens at Marburger Farm.

Over the years, the show has earned the attention of just about every design publication that matters. Condé Nast Traveler, Country Living, the Houston Chronicle, and Architectural Digest have all recognized Marburger Farm as one of the top antiques destinations in the country. Country Living called it a favorite stop spanning everything from industrial to art déco to mid-century modern. The Houston Chronicle described it as a tightly curated, expedited treasure hunt.

A New Chapter: The Redevelopment

Marburger Farm has never been the kind of place that rests on its reputation. Recently, the venue completed a significant redevelopment that restored all ten of its historic buildings and reimagined the layout to resemble a Texas town square. The result is a more seamless experience for shoppers, with expanded spaces for food, entertainment, and the kind of wandering that makes a great show feel effortless.

The bones of Marburger are the same. The pastoral acres. The massive tents. The historic buildings that give the show its character. But the redevelopment brought everything together in a way that makes the experience feel more intentional without losing the magic that's always been there.

What You'll Find Inside

Marburger Farm isn't a flea market. It isn't a junk show. And it isn't a place where anything with a little dust on it gets a booth. This is an intensely curated experience where every single dealer has been hand-selected based on quality, authenticity, and originality. The show maintains a strict authenticity policy, meaning what you'll find here is the real thing. Top antiques and vintage merchandise with a small percentage of artisan-made goods mixed in.

The range spans just about every style and decorative era you can imagine. Continental and European antiques. Americana and folk art. Industrial and mid-century modern. Vintage clothing, estate jewelry, fine art, lighting, rugs, textiles, garden statuary, taxidermy, architectural salvage, silver, religious artifacts, vintage western wear, and cowboy boots. Dealers transform their booths into stunning, fully styled vignettes that feel more like walking through a designer's showroom than browsing a tent.

Six football-field-sized tents hold the bulk of the inventory, but don't overlook the historic buildings along the promenade. These restored structures house some of the show's most interesting dealers, and the buildings themselves are part of the experience. Century-old architecture filled with century-old antiques.

And because dealers refresh their booths with new inventory every day of the show, no two visits to Marburger Farm are the same. What you see on opening Tuesday morning won't be there Wednesday afternoon. Plenty of serious shoppers come back multiple days for exactly this reason.

Opening Morning and the Marburger Tradition

Marburger Farm has always understood that the best shows aren't just about what you buy. They're about how you feel while you're there.

Opening morning is its own event, and if you've never experienced it, it's worth planning your entire trip around. Early admission shoppers gather for the morning tailgate with mimosas, coffee, breakfast bites, and live music while the historic buildings open for early browsing. The energy is electric. People who haven't seen each other since the last show are catching up. Dealers are putting final touches on their booths. The anticipation builds.

Then at 9 AM, Brad Blacketer — who's been the show's Director of Operations for over fifteen years — rings the triangle bell, and the tents officially open. The sound of that bell is iconic. It's the starting gun. And when those tent flaps go up, the rush of shoppers pouring in is something you won't forget.

It's the kind of moment that turns a shopping trip into a story.

More Than Shopping: Music, Food, and the Mar-Bar

Throughout every show, live music from top Texas artists fills the grounds. The sound bouncing off the tents and across the green adds an energy that makes the whole experience feel like a festival. You aren't just shopping. You're somewhere special.

The Marburger Cafe handles breakfast, lunch, and everything in between, so you don't have to leave the grounds to eat. And then there's the Mar-Bar, which is exactly what it sounds like — a bar right in the middle of Marburger Farm. Grab a drink, catch your breath, and watch the parade of shoppers hauling incredible finds through the tents. It's people-watching and treasure hunting at its absolute finest.

Art installations have also become part of the Marburger experience, adding moments of surprise and creativity as you move through the grounds. Between the music, the food, the dealers, and the sheer visual spectacle of hundreds of curated booths across 43 acres, Marburger Farms delivers a full sensory experience that goes way beyond a typical antiques show.
