A Note From Lindsey

Nearly a decade ago, one of my first clothing purchases in Round Top was a coat from Sapana. It’s one of those pieces that has stayed with me, not just because of the coat itself, but because of the memories attached to finding it.

I’ve watched Round Top grow and evolve over the years, and one of my favorite things about this place is how the relationships grow right alongside it. Seeing three brands we’ve come to know through Round Top create something together feels especially fitting.

Our style contributor, Maddie Z, caught up with the women behind the collection to learn more about the designs, the friendships, and the little details that make this collaboration special.

Lindsey, Founder, Round Top Finds™

The Sapana x Rank & Sugar x A. Botts Willis collaboration is a collection that brings together three distinctive brands iconic to Round Top. Each brand brings something entirely its own to the collaboration, from its aesthetic to the perspective behind its designs. And yet, rather than competing for attention, the three identities come together in a way that feels both natural and intentional. The collection is cohesive without feeling uniform, allowing the character of each brand to shine through while creating something uniquely their own.

While we chatted with the three minds behind the collection, we got a little insight on the fun behind it all. Here’s what they said…

The Why Behind The Designs

When asked what inspired the collection, Ashley, of A. Botts Willis, very quickly answered, “We’re friends.” Jolie from Sapana added to the sentiment by stating that Round Top itself was the inspiration of it all. Because here in Round Top, every brand has something deeper within it. Behind the beauty and the art, are creative people that make the best of friends. The relationships you build here are the reason people keep coming back show after show.

While the collection speaks for itself visually, there is always more to a collaboration than what meets the eye. Beyond the designs and the details, we wanted to know what stories, intentions, or unexpected elements might be woven into the collection.

“We repurposed the kanthas for the bags, and then the fabric remnants for all the other pieces,” Jolie says. “So everything has a repurposed element.”

This is so on-brand for these three creatives. Upcycling, repurposing, and giving new life to materials that might otherwise go unused feels like a natural extension of their shared creativity.

And the moment when they saw their shared collection for the first time, Suzanne says she cried. That relief and pride in seeing your hard work and artistry finally brought to life after months of planning.

That’s why they do what they do.

A Collab For You

We asked what Suzanne, Ashley, and Jolie wanted someone to feel in this collaboration, and without hesitation, Suzanne said, “Happy.”

And that’s exactly what this collab makes us feel, but there’s a deeper meaning behind it all, which Ashley describes perfectly. “The friendships of Round Top,” she says. “That’s a big thing. The connection of understanding our relationships in Round Top isn’t just the physical. It’s more about the friendships that you form and the connections you form here.”

A wonderful representation of what Round Top means to so many of us, dealers and shoppers alike.

Jolie later went on to add, “There were a lot of people that came in tonight that became customers. That came in for the very first time [because they] knew Ashley and Suzanne. [And] that’s when I met Ashley and Suzanne,” she explained. “Was in that very first trip. We have good stories together, and it’s just the feeling of all of that with Round Top.”

There aren’t any better words to describe what this collection means to not only its designers, but what the customers will feel too.
