If you spent any time on social media during the Round Top show, chances are you spotted one. A tiny silver cowboy hat sitting on someone's finger, and you immediately needed to know where it came from.

The answer is Zapp Hall. The man behind them is Jeff Allmon.

His cowboy hat spoon rings have become one of the most iconic finds at Round Top, and honestly, once you see one up close, you'll understand why.

Antique Silverware, Worn a Whole New Way

Each cowboy hat ring is handcrafted from antique silverware. The brim is shaped from the spoon itself, the crown formed from the top of the handle, and the whole piece finished with a sterling silver band. No two are alike. Every single cowboy hat ring carries the character of the original piece it came from, and the craftsmanship is unreal.

Jeff has been a dealer at Zapp Hall for over a decade, and for him, this is a labor of love. He doesn't take custom orders. He doesn't have an online store. These rings are made by hand, available first come first served, and only at Zapp Hall in Round Top.

That's part of what makes them special. You can't click a link and add to cart. You have to show up and you have to show up quick! During the Spring '26 show, these cowboy hat rings were gone by day three. Three days. Out of a two-week show.

A New Addition That Sold Out in Three Days

This spring, the cowboy hat spoon rings got an upgrade.

Tricia with Vintage Bliss Boutique, another longtime Zapp Hall dealer, created miniature hat bands for the rings using turquoise and other natural gemstones. Think of them as tiny, perfectly detailed hat bands wrapped right around the crown. The combination of Jeff's antique silverwork with Tricia's gemstone finishing turned something already incredible into a whole new level of collectible.

Jeff made 70 cowboy hat rings for the Spring '26 show. They sold out by day three.

The collaboration is ongoing, and the plan is to bring more for the Fall Show, but we're talking limited quantities. Maybe 100 if we're lucky.

The Kind of Person You Come Back to Round Top For

Here's the thing about Jeff. He looks tough as nails. But spend five minutes with him and you'll realize he's one of the most genuine, kind people at the show.

This isn't a business for him. It's a hobby he loves, and that energy shows up in everything he does. Not just at his booth, but across all of Zapp Hall. I watched him pick up trash between the tents, help other dealers carry pieces to their cars, and when a windstorm rolled through and everyone was scrambling to secure their setups, Jeff was right there anchoring down tent flaps for his neighbors. Using bottle caps as washers, because of course he was.

There's no rush, no sales pitch. Just a guy who genuinely enjoys making something beautiful out of something old, showing up for the people around him, and sharing it all with anyone who appreciates it.

That's Round Top in a nutshell, isn't it?

"I love the cowboy hat ring because it's very Round Top specific and it tells a fun story. When people ask about it, I get excited to tell them I bought it with Jeff at Zapp Hall, one of the coolest and most interesting shopping fields in Texas."

Where to Find the Cowboy Hat Spoon Rings at Round Top

Jeff and Tricia are both at Zapp Hall, right across from the Bubble Lounge. They'll be back for the Fall Show, but if the spring is any indication, you'll want to get there early if you want the iconic Cowboy Hat Ring.

No website. No online orders. No custom requests. Just show up, find Jeff, and grab one before they're gone.
